A flavorful and easy-to-make turkey chili with rice, prepared in a single pot for convenience. Ideal for a hearty meal.
Ingredients
10 oz. Minced turkey fillet
1.2 cup Rice
1 Medium onion
2 Cloves garlic
1 tbsp. Oil
1/2 can Chopped tomatoes
1 Red bell pepper
1 cup Vegetable broth
1/3 cup Red kidney beans
1/2 cup Sweet corn
1 tsp. Dried oregano
1tsp. Cumin
1 tsp. Sweet pepper
1/2 tsp. Hot pepper
1/2 tsp. Salt
1.3 tsp. Ground pepper
1/3 cup Grated cheese
Instructions
Step 1: Heat the oil in a large pan and saute the onion and garlic for 3-4 minuets.
Step 2: Add the meat and fry for about 5-6 minuets until cooked throughout.
Step 3: Add spices and mix.
Step 4: Add the uncooked rice and mix again.
Step 5: Add the chopped peppers, beans, corn, canned tomatoes, and broth. Mix and bring to a boil. Let it simmer covered on low heat for about 17-20 minuets.
Step 6: Add grated cheese, cover, an heat for another 2 minuets until the cheese melts, then serve!
